Potato bread

Potato bread

I made some wonderful breads. If I hadn't oiled them, it would have been fasting.

  • 4 boiled potatoes
  • 150 ml of juice in which the potatoes were boiled
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 700 g white flour
  • egg yolk for greased

Servings: -

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Potato breads:

I cut the boiled potatoes into cubes and put them in the bread machine.

I added the rest of the ingredients to the car tank, one by one, as they are lined up, and I programmed it to knead.

After the dough has risen, I formed a few loaves, greased them with egg yolk and left them to rise a little in a pan.

I put the bread tray in the oven and left it until lightly browned. They came out fluffy and dangerously tasty.

Potato stew with pork

This dish is cooked in all areas of the country, the only difference in terms of taste being the flavors. But garlic is the indispensable ingredient in all variants. In Transylvania cumin and paprika are used, and in Muntenia and the rest of the country & # 8211 laurel. You can use them one at a time. Here are the ingredients you need for the most delicious potato stew.

  • 500 g pork (ribs, leg, shoulder or breast)
  • 2-3 onions
  • 2-3 kapia red peppers (can also be donuts or white peppers)
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Baked potatoes with minced meat and cheese

Potatoes are a dish that saves many of us when we panic over ideas or ingredients. Whatever we find 4-5 ca.

Potatoes are a dish that saves many of us when we are panicking about ideas or ingredients. Whatever it is, we find 4-5 potatoes to make a meal. Especially if we have children in the house, it's easy to be content with something when it comes to potatoes. Put the potato slices in a stove tray or heat-resistant glass and add 2-3 tablespoons of oil, 1 pinch of salt, who wants a little ground pepper and after mixing well cover the tray with aluminum foil or baking paper. Put the onion in a pan with 2-3 tablespoons of oil and 1 pinch of salt and sauté until it becomes glassy. Add the minced meat and chew to dissolve. Temper until the water left by the meat evaporates and then add the tablespoon of broth. Stir 2-3 times and put about 1 cup of coffee on top. Let it boil 2-3 times and we can stop the fire without waiting for the water to evaporate. Now we have the minced meat ready and we are looking at the potatoes. We try the potatoes with a fork and, if they have softened enough, we take the tray out of the oven. Pour the minced meat mixture over the potatoes and mix carefully so as not to peel the potatoes. The water we added to the minced meat will be absorbed by the hot potatoes.

Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and put the uncovered tray in the oven for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese melts. Instead of cheese we can use any other kind of crumbled cheese or even bechamel sauce.

Oopsie bread - "Oopsie" breads

They look like dumplings and successfully replace bread in the low-carb diet. They are easy to make, they are delicious and children also like them. The best known variant is made of 2 ingredients: eggs and cream cheese. I found another one that puts a little baking powder and psyllium bran. I did both. At the end of the recipe you will find the comparative picture.
However, the first option has the advantage of being used for fasting with eggs. Details about this post can be found here.

For 6-8 pieces
Option 1

  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g cream cheese (philadelphia, almette)
  • a pinch of salt
  • sesame, spices, optional
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 g cream cheese
  • a pinch of salt
  • ½ tablespoon of psyllium bran
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

The eggs separate. Beat the egg whites with salt until they form a hard foam that does not flow from the bowl.
Beat the yolks separately with the cream cheese. For option 2, add the baking powder with the psyllium bran to the yolks.
Incorporate the beaten egg whites into slices, stirring lightly, so as not to leave the composition.
Form 6-8 circles in a baking paper tray.

Bake on low heat (150 degrees C) for about 30 minutes, until golden brown.
To diversify the taste, you can add various spices (pepper, garlic powder, oregano) or sprinkle with sesame seeds.

I go great for sandwiches.

But you can also make pizza / minipizza: either make a top on the whole tray, or leave them small, and after they brown, grease them with tomato sauce, sprinkle with olives, ham, mozzarella and keep on high heat for a few more minutes. When serving, sprinkle with basil leaves or arugula.

On the left is variant 1, on the right is variant 2. It can be seen that the breads with baking powder and psyllium came out fluffier.

I don't know if you eat dandelion, but I do.
It is a little bitter but delicious and incredibly healthy.
Dandelion detoxifies and nourishes.

Mother Nature gives us free food every season, but we ignore her generosity.
Go outside in a secluded field and pick dandelions, nettles and other plants that can be eaten or used for tea.

Every time I go outside, I come back with a few things. Too bad I rarely go out.

I netted, as I said on https://bucatevegane.blogspot.com, but it was worth it.

In this case, coriander seeds can not be replaced with another spice, but especially can not be replaced with ground seeds or green leaves. Not. These taste completely different.

  • 4 potatoes already cooked - no matter the color
  • 10 dandelion flowers with leaves
  • 3 prunes
  • 1 red
  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds - as I said, not dusty and not green, they must be seeds
  • 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil or whatever you have - the best is olive
  • salt to taste
  • 1 dried onion or 1 bunch of green onions. I didn't think I would put green onions
  • If you don't have boiled potatoes, boil them, with or without peel. How do you feel? Boil the egg.
  • Peel the potatoes. Cut them as you like and put them in a bowl. Do the same with the egg.
  • Peel an onion, cut it as you like and put it over the potatoes.
  • Wash the dandelion, cut and put it in the bowl.
  • Do the same with the onion.
  • Cut the plums into 4-6.
  • Fry the coriander seeds for 2 minutes in an oil-free pan. In this way the particular aroma intensifies. Be careful not to burn them. If smoke comes out, take them out of the pan immediately. Coarsely crush them with a mortar, if you want I put them whole, they are quite tender. Put them in the bowl.
  • Pour in the oil, add salt and serve with great gusto.

When chess pieces come to life

When chess pieces come to life, they make even the one who knows a lot about chess curious. Oops, I just made fun of myself by saying I went to a chess show without knowing anything about the main menu? To correct it, let's just say I'm not very good at it and that wasn't the main goal either.

Let me tell you. Marostica is a mountain town in the province of Vicenza, Italy, and is known as the & # 8222 chess city & # 8221. I visited for the first time the castles about 3-4 years ago, the Upper Castle (Castello Superiore) and the Lower Castle (Castello Inferiore), in the courtyard of which there is a huge chessboard. In fact, the symbols of chess can be found everywhere. And then I found out about this chess show that has been organized for even years, for about a few decades now. The first thought was of course that I should not miss a next edition!

And this year it was my turn to be among the spectators, at the 62nd edition of Chess game with human characters (Chess game with living characters).

The initiative to play chess with living characters belonged to the sculptor and the artist Mirko Vucetich (1898-1975), who in 1954 proposed the staging of the historical story, writing the play "Chess Game".

600 people, from 8 to 80 years old, most of them volunteers, proudly represented the city and wore for three days the clothes of the characters from the legendary love story that made Marostica famous all over the world.

Chess game, history and passion

The story behind this show dates back to 1454, when two young men, Renaldo D & # 8217Anganaro and Vieri da Vallanora, sons of nobles, both fell in love with the beautiful Lionora, the daughter of Lord Taddeo Parisio. In order to win the hand of the coveted young woman, the two were to duel until death, according to the custom of those times. Parisio, however, refused an unjust fight in which, regardless of the result, he would have lost a valuable warrior for his army, and proposed to the two a diplomatic solution: to play a game of chess. The winner was to marry Lionora, but so that no one was unhappy, and the loser of the game was blessed to marry Parisio's younger sister, Oldrada.

Since it is impossible to reproduce the movements played by the two knights during the original chess game of 1454, since 1954 the organizers of the event decided to be inspired by the most beautiful and famous games in the world history of chess and revoke every two years one of them. The game that serves as inspiration for each edition of the festival, is chosen by the organizing committee and must meet certain conditions: to end with a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 20 moves, to last about 20 minutes and, of course , to be spectacular.

Yoko Ono and her manifesto & # 8222Dream & # 8221

This edition remains in history and for the exclusive homage that the artist Yoko Ono wanted to bring to the city. The opera-manifesto & # 8222Dream & # 8221 which covered the large chessboard in the courtyard of the Lower Castle with a fabric wave of over 500 square meters greeted spectators from all over the peninsula and around the world.

& # 8222Dream & # 8221 is part of the Advertising Art series held on the occasion of the Japanese artist's award in 2009 with the Golden Lion for her entire career at the Biennale di Venezia, when thousands of cards and posters inscribed & # 8222Dream & # 8221 were installed in most major areas of the city.

Guaranteed success at every edition

& # 8222 There are many historical performances in Italy but none of them manage to attract 16,000 people in just 3 days. & # 8221 Maurizio Panici, the show's director for the last 10 years.

During the three days of performance in period costumes, on the occasion of the four performances, Marostica was visited by over 15,000 people. Saturday and Sunday evenings were both sold-out.

The magic of the legendary love story between the beautiful Lionora and the young suitor Da Vallonara knew how to attract the attention of the whole world and a new edition of the most beautiful chess show ended successfully.

The next edition will take place in 2018, between September 7-9.
